More than a decade across industry, consulting and academia: from semiconductor and electronics supply chains to EU research consortia. Today I lead Lumin Advisory, a science-driven sustainability advisory firm based in Berlin.
I work in English, Turkish, German and Dutch.
What I'm working on
- Lumin Advisory — Founder & Managing Director. Product carbon footprints and LCA, Scope 1–3 accounting, critical raw materials strategy and EU compliance (CSRD, CBAM, ESPR, CRMA) for semiconductor, electronics, battery and industrial clients.
- Research & writing — Recovering critical metals from electronic waste and end-of-life products; papers, book chapters and essays on the geopolitics of critical raw materials.
- Expert roles — Expert reviewer for EIT RawMaterials; member of the SCRREEN3 EU critical raw materials expert network; evaluator for European research and innovation programmes.
My path runs through Nexperia/NXP (EHS and sustainability), KPMG Netherlands (climate change & sustainability), ERM (principal consultant) and TE Connectivity (Senior Manager, Supply Chain ESG & Scope 3, leading a 500+ supplier programme), as well as advisory work for GE Vernova. I hold a joint Erasmus Mundus PhD from IHE Delft, TU Delft and Université Paris-Est on recovering critical metals from electronic waste.

Why is climate change so hard to solve?
Written for Sarkaç: despite clear scientific warnings and international agreements, irreversible tipping points are getting closer. The essay looks at collective action — the tragedy of the commons, Elinor Ostrom's work on governing shared resources, a fisheries case from Alanya — and why decarbonisation is a far harder problem than protecting the ozone layer was.
